    Theory of Power

The principles that generate maximum power: reaction force, concentration, equilibrium, breath control, mass, speed. Together these six elements explain how a relatively small body can generate the destructive power for which Taekwon-Do is known.

    Element 1

    Reaction Force

Newton's third-law principle — the body uses the opponent's or its own opposite reaction to amplify power.

    Element 2

    Concentration

Focusing all the body's force at one point at the moment of impact.

    Element 3

    Equilibrium

Maintaining balance to channel power without falling.

    Element 4

    Breath Control

Coordinating exhalation with the moment of impact.

    Element 5

    Mass

Body weight delivered into the technique.

    Element 6

    Speed

Velocity of the technique — exponentially increases impact.
